YouTube to Show Disney Videos

Google's YouTube will soon show short videos from a major US television group while testing new advertising arrangements in hopes of generating revenue online.

The sports network ESPN will launch a YouTube channel next month, with Disney/ABC Television Group launching several channels in May, including ABC Entertainment, ABC News, ABC Family and a soap opera channel, according to the companies.

Content will include short clips of ABC shows such as Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.

ABC, which is an indirect subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, owns 80 per cent of ESPN, with the Hearst Corporation owning 20 percent.>>>>read more

Twitter, Facebook Can Improve Work Productivity

Using Twitter and Facebook at work will make you a better employee, says the University of Melbourne.

According to a study by the Australian University, 70 percent of office employees use the internet at work for personal reasons. Of them, nine percent were more productive compared to employees that didn't use the web for fun.

"Workplace internet leisure browsing (WILB) can help sharpen workers' concentration," said Brent Coker, from the University's department of management and marketing. "People need to zone out for a bit to get back their concentration.">>>>read more


Yahoo! Launches Apps for Mobile

Yahoo! today announced the availability of Yahoo! Mobile, an open and highly-personalized mobile starting point to the Internet, on both the mobile Web and as an Apple iPhone app. Both are currently available in eight countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, France, India, Indonesia and the Philippines, with additional localized versions expected to launch over the next several months.

Users can use Yahoo! search on their mobiles, stay connected through through access to email and social network accounts. Instant messaging, address book and calendar tools are offered as well.>>>>read more


XFX Introduces New Radeon HD 4890 Graphics Card
